When installing Knocking-Undercut Anchor, it is crucial to ensure that the installation depth and angle meet the design requirements, because improper installation may lead to insufficient bearing capacity of the anchor bolts and even cause structural safety accidents. The following are specific measures and suggestions to ensure the quality of installation:
1. Familiar with the design requirements and product instructions
Before installation, you must carefully read the anchor bolt product instructions and engineering design documents to clarify the requirements for the installation depth, angle, spacing, etc. of the anchor bolts.
Understand the applicable scope, bearing capacity and installation precautions of the anchor bolts to ensure that the selected anchor bolts match the substrate and the use environment.
2. Use special tools and equipment
Installation tools: Knocking-Undercut Anchor usually require special installation tools, such as impact drills, installation hammers, special drill bits, etc. These tools can ensure that the drilling depth and anchor bolt knocking force meet the requirements.
Measuring tools: Use tools such as depth gauges and angle gauges to measure the drilling depth and anchor bolt installation angle to ensure that they meet the design requirements. For example, the drilling depth should be accurate to the millimeter level, and the installation angle usually needs to be kept vertical (90°).
3. Strictly control the drilling quality
Drilling depth: The drilling depth must be consistent with the effective anchoring length of the anchor. Drilling too deep may cause the anchor to fail to fully expand, while drilling too shallow may affect the bearing capacity of the anchor. Use a drill bit or depth gauge with a depth scale to control the drilling depth.
Drilling diameter: The drilling diameter should match the anchor specification. Drilling diameter that is too large or too small will affect the fixing effect of the anchor. It is recommended to use a special drill bit and check the diameter after drilling.
Drilling angle: The drilling should be kept perpendicular to the surface of the substrate to avoid tilting. Use an angle ruler or laser level to assist drilling to ensure that the drilling angle meets the requirements.
4. Precautions during installation
Knocking force: The knock-type anchor needs to be expanded and anchored by appropriate knocking force. The knocking force should be moderate to avoid excessive knocking that may cause damage to the anchor or cracking of the substrate.
Installation sequence: If multiple anchors need to be installed, it is recommended to follow a certain sequence to avoid local stress concentration. For example, a diagonal installation sequence is used to ensure that the substrate is evenly stressed.
Post-installation inspection: After installation, check whether the anchor bolts are firm and whether there is any looseness. A torque wrench can be used for pull-out test to ensure that the bearing capacity of the anchor bolts meets the design requirements.
5. Quality control and acceptance
On-site quality inspection: On-site quality inspection should be carried out during installation, including drilling depth, installation angle, and the knocking force of the anchor bolts. For installation points that do not meet the requirements, rectification should be carried out immediately.
Acceptance criteria: According to the engineering design documents and relevant specifications, the acceptance criteria for anchor bolt installation should be formulated. During acceptance, the appearance, installation depth, angle, and bearing capacity test results of the anchor bolts should be checked.
Non-destructive testing: When conditions permit, non-destructive testing methods (such as ultrasonic testing, pull-out test, etc.) can be used to verify the installation quality of the anchor bolts.
